With over a decade experience in the sampling industry, we are now one of the go-to agencies for sampling, inserts and print media within the fabulous parent and baby industry.

From humble beginnings of just a few thousand gift bags a year, we have grown organically and now connect with over 30% of the prenatal market annually with our gift bag and magazine.

But we didn’t start life as a sampling agency.  Having had a successful career in merchandising, Rachel started Custard & Crumble in 2011 after the birth of her first child, initially selling luxury nursery furniture and accessories online.

In 2015 Rachel embarked on her own marketing activity to find new customers. She created some goodie bags with the Custard & Crumble logo to advertise her products and started to distribute them to the private scan clinics around Harley Street, London.

Soon other brands wanted to be part of the gift bag and shortly after a large franchise of private scan clinics agreed to take the packs within their network of clinics across the country.

To date we have distributed over 3 million samples across over 163 different scan clinics across the country. We continue to evolve and expand. In April 2024 we launched our new Motherhood magazine to replace the previous Custard Journal and later that year motherhood.online also launched, providing a supportive online space for new mothers.

We are passionate about bringing joy and happiness to expectant Mums, equipping them with the knowledge and power to make their own choices. We give brands the power of placing a sample directly into the hands of a strategically targeted audience.
