The Royal Baby

We are eagerly expecting the announcement of the Royal Baby any day now and by way of celebrating the birth of Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s first child and the future King or Queen of England, Custard & Crumble will be donating 10% of all profits made on the day of the birth to Kate’s favourite hospice charity : East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.   The East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) provide care to children with life threatening conditions and help and support to their families across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.  Day care is provided within the community at the family home or within a hospice, whichever is preferred.  They also provide overnight stays in a hospice, support for children including siblings, parents and grandparents, an emergency help line of support and music, play, physio and occupational therapies.  The Duchess of Cambridge became Royal Patron of EACH in January 2012 and since then has opened their most recent hospice in Ipswich and made her first public address at the event. Having just had my second child at the end of June, I can really feel for Kate in these last few days of her pregnancy – the lack of sleep at night, the tiredness, anticipation and excitement and that is before the baby is born! I am also really keen to support charities such as this.  EACH is a registered charity and in order to carry out its services this year it needs to raise £6 million from public donations, so needs all the public support possible. If you would like to donate to the charity, EACH, you can visit this Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/BabyCambridgeFundraiser/ or pay a visit to the Custard and Crumble website on the day of the birth: www.custardandcrumble.co.uk.
